oikeo – ein griechisches Wort für „leben“ oder „wohnen“ drückt für uns das beste aller Gefühle aus. Das Leben in seiner ganzen Fülle spüren, Inspiration fliessen lassen, verschiedene Facetten unseres Daseins mit all seinen Hochs und Tiefs gemeinsam meistern, zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort sein, im Augenblick wohnen. Zuhause sein, auch wenn man unterwegs ist, weil man das Zuhause immer in sich trägt. Oikeo, dieses Lebensgefühl, ist der Ort, der immer bestehen bleibt, egal wohin man geht. Oikeo heisst Liebe, Einfachheit, Wärme, Geborgenheit aber auch unbändige Freude.
Die „project“-Komponente dabei soll das Projekthafte, Zerbrechliche, zeitlich Begrenzte und Vorwärtsgehende verdeutlichen. So kann ein oikeo * project ein Bild sein, eine Aktion, eine Reise, ein noch grösseres Vorhaben – oder: das Leben an sich.
Oikeo is a greek word for "living" or "dwelling". For us, it expresses the best of all feelings. To experience life in its fullness, to let inspiration flow, to master highs and lows in life together, to be in the right place at the right time, to live in the moment. To be at home, even if we're on the road, because home is not a place, but a feeling. Oikeo is an attitude to life, it means love, simplicity, warmth, security and also overwhelming joy.
The "project" element in the name points to the frailty, the forward movement and temporariness. Therefore, an oikeo*project can be a picture, an action, a journey, a bigger quest - or: life as such.
