Als wir gerade erst in Laos angekommen waren, hörte ich einen Podcast über Pangoline. Ich hatte vorher noch nie von diesem Tier gehört und war fasziniert. Wie er aussieht und was er alles kann! Doch leider ist er auch höchst bedroht. Bald entstand die Idee in meinem Kopf, ein Illustrationsprojekt über Pangoline zu starten. Das Resultat ist ein kleines Kinder-Sachbilderbuch. Bewusst ist es keine "Geschichte", sondern ein Sach- und Faktbuch, da ich dem Tier keine menschlichen Züge geben wollte - der Pangolin soll wild und frei sein und bleiben. Hier ein paar erste Eindrücke in die Illustrationen des Buches und des Probedrucks (Broschüre).

When we had only just arrived in Laos, I first heard about pangolins in a podcast. I had never heard of these animals before and I was instantly fascinated. How they look like and what they are able to do! But sadly, pangolins are also an endangered species. Soon I had the idea of an illustration project about them. I chose not to write an actual "story", but rather create a factbook for children, as I didn't want to humanize the animal but portray it how it should be: wild and free. Here are some impressions of the book and the test print (brochure).
