Mit einem Hund in einem VW Bus open end durch Europa reisen - was für viele wie ein Traum klingt, wird für unsere beiden Freunde ab nächstem Sommer Realität sein. Um ihre grosse Reise anzukünden und ihre Freunde für ein Abschiedsfest einzuladen, habe ich diese quadratische Karte illustriert. Die Vorderseite zeigt eine hügelige, mediterrane Landschaft mit dem Meer im Hintergrund und dem VW Bus mit Europaflaggen als Mittelpunkt. Die Rückseite lässt Raum für einen handgeschriebenen Einladungstext oder ein paar persönliche Abschiedsworte. Zusätzlich zur Karte wünschte sich das Paar einen Sticker, der ihre Mission, verantwortungsvoll unterwegs zu sein, verdeutlichen soll: Alle Abfälle werden mitgenommen, und ein respektvolles Miteinander ist ihr Anliegen. Ein Ansatz, an dem sich sicher viele Camper ein Beispiel nehemen könnten! Alles Gute euch beiden und gute Fahrt!
Traveling all around Europe with a dog in a VW Camper open end - what sounds like a dream to most of us, will be the reality for two of our friends from next summer on. To announce their big trip and to invite their friends to come to their farewell party, I illustrated this square card. The frontpage features a hilly, mediterranean landscape with the sea in the background, with the camper van with European flags as the centerpiece. The back page leaves room for an invitation text or some personal farewell words. Additionally to the card, the couple asked me to design a sticker that represents their mission of a "responsible camper": All waste is contained and they root for a respectful, mindful camping experience. This approach could definitely be exemplary to many other campers! All the best to you two and safe travels!
