Von Mai 2015 bis Februar 2016 waren wir auf der Panamericana unterwegs. Unser Motorrad (Honda Transalp) brachte uns zuerst quer durch Kanada (von Ost nach West), danach immer weiter südlich bis nach Chile. From May 2015 until February 2016 we traveled on the Panamericana. On our motorbike (Honda Transalp) we first drove all through Canada (from East to West) and then southwards to Chile. Our chosen beach is on the Pacific coast in the north of Nicaragua in front of the largest mangrove forest in Central America. Well hidden after a 10km long gravel road we enjoy the peace and quiet in the appropriately named Rancho Tranquilo.

San Blas, a group of islands in the Caribbean off the coast of Panama, is as beautiful as you can imagine: Hundreds of small islands, white sand, coconut palms, pristine turquoise waters, friendly locals. We are excited about this trip on an old rattling sailing ship: The "Stahlratte".

Nordamerika per Motorrad: 23‘000km von Halifax, Nova Scotia in Kanada nach Panama City. 23‘000km nur kurz zum Vergleich: Das ist in etwa die selbe Distanz wie von Bern nach Peking und wieder zurück, nur so um eine Relation herzustellen. Wir schauen zurück.
